Sex Therapy

Sex therapy offers a safe, respectful, and judgment-free space to explore concerns related to intimacy, sexuality, and relationships. Clients seek sex therapy for a wide range of reasons, including differences in desire, challenges with communication, concerns about sexual functioning, recovery from trauma, or navigating life transitions that impact connection and intimacy.

Shelley is a certified sex therapist through AASECT, a credential she earned in 2019. This certification reflects advanced training and adherence to the highest standards of professional practice in sex therapy, counseling, and education.

Her work is grounded in the belief that sexuality is a natural, complex, and important part of being human. Shelley approaches this work from a biopsychosocial perspective—recognizing that emotional, relational, physical, cultural, and developmental factors all play a role in sexual well-being.

Shelley provides inclusive, evidence-based care that affirms a wide range of identities, relationships, and experiences. She believes that all individuals deserve access to accurate information, respectful support, and the ability to make informed, empowered choices about their sexual health. Her approach emphasizes consent, autonomy, and emotional and physical safety, while creating space for open, honest conversations that many people have never felt comfortable having before.

Whether working with individuals or couples, Shelley helps clients better understand themselves, improve communication, address barriers to intimacy, and build more fulfilling and connected relationships.

Shelley also works to reduce shame and stigma around sexuality, helping clients approach these topics with greater confidence and self-compassion. Sessions are tailored to each client’s comfort level and goals, moving at a pace that feels safe and supportive. Above all, her goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in every aspect of their sexual and relational well-being.
